Janet Leung Totals 17 Years on Kids2 Global Accounting Team
Janet Leung, Sr. Director, Treasury-Finance, Hong Kong
Since joining Kids2 in 2003, Janet Leung has spent the last 17 years dedicated to expanding our Finance and Accounting department into a global team. Janet started as Accounting Manager a new position based in Hong Kong. An extension of our US based team, Janet helped grow our China Accounting team from zero to 20 people.
Global Partnership Wins
In 2008, Janet was promoted to Director of Accounting and Finance and worked in that role for a celebratory 10 years directing the work between our headquarters and global offices.
Working with a 12-hour time difference between Hong Kong and the US headquarters, Janet helps lead the group to save time and coordinate clear objectives for efficient work. This comes into play as Janet works closely with TFE, one of Kids2’s key manufacturing partners in China, which handles a significant amount of production. Janet helps align Kids2 with TFE, especially when many of their accounting staff does not know English.
Partnering with our new manufacturing facility
When Kids2 decided to expand our manufacturing capabilities and open our own factory (Winvention), Janet jumped into another opportunity and has been partnering with the factory build as Director of Treasury for the last two years. Excited for a new challenge, Janet has found this to be one of the most fascinating parts of her job and has learned an extensive amount so far.
In 2019, Janet was one of the 20 global team members to be recognized with her Award of Excellence for the work opening Winvention. Awarded for her leadership on the funding, treasury, and governance managing the MFE/Winvention project in 2018, Janet is a true example of living the Kids2 Way and exemplifying our culture.
Creating more tiny wins with our global team
As her career journey continues, Janet remains very happy within Kids2 and the strong relationships she has developed throughout our global teams.
“Our entire team is very dedicated to their jobs and always finds a way to keep things fun! They learn how to balance the work, and I could not create so many wins without the team.”
